At Fay's Hafla on Friday a few people were asking about Tribal Workshops in the area. I am happy to come out to do workshops for a minimum of 10 people if anyone can organise a venue. I offer workshops in beginners ATS, Tribal Fusion, Sword Dancing, Skirt Dancing and Dark/Character Choreography. I also teach several different choreographies for solo or troupe dances, or can create choreographies with tribal or egyptian style moves and combos to your chosen track. Asif also offers drumming workshops for beginners to give you the basic Arabic Rhythms and show you how to combine them. Contact us via the website www.britishtribalstyle.com or call 07727 253033 _________________ Be Afraid.......
I know a couple of ladies who are interested (including Connie) so if ladies will reply here and tell me your nearest town or big village I can see if I can find a central location. Don't forget we need at least 10 so twist your friends arms if you have to!
I can vouch for Pauline if you haven't seen her dance. She's brilliant! There will be some pics of her sword dance at Fay's on the web site in a couple of days.

Connie here. I'd really like to form a tribal group. Please let me know if you're interested so we can get together. Paula will do a workshop for us! In addition, we could take a van load of 8 or 9 to a series of workshops being done by Chris Ogden who has "set up a series of beginner Tribal Fusion workshops in Leeds - at the Holistica Studio Mabgate Mills, Macaulay St, Leeds LS9 7DZ - on Sundays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on 11 May, 15 June and 6 July - cost £10 per session - advance booking is advised as the studio is not huge (email to reserve a place)." It'd be a lot of fun, I'm sure.
Hi,
Us ladies are always interested in workshops particularly if they are local. Pauline is FAB! so what are we waiting for?!!
If there are some out of the area, Nigel and I also have a people carrier if anyone is interested (however we do have quite a few kids....hmmmm..suer we could squash a few!)
I have done basic tribal workshops for Banet-el -raqs and yep, there are ladies wishing to learn. Im sure we could do something if we tried
Fays Hafla was fantastic Friday night...someone write a review for our brilliant LBD site!!
Mark, what ever did we do without you?
Trish has already promised me a review ... but other views are also welcome!
Right.... I'm seriously considering booking a village hall and organising a day of workshops sometime ... probably in September as there's not much on in the way of events in September. Let me think a bit more and do some research.
Wow that is amazing - me and the girls love to see Pauline dance (I was totally blown away with the Alice Cooper dance at Shimmy Chicks Hafla).... I will tell the girls at our next class as we are thinking of getting some teachers in from time to time and I am sure the girls would love a bit of gothic/tribal...!!!
September isn't looking good at the moment as my daughter in the USA is due to give birth at the end of August... to twins! (just in case you missed the announcement of the main page ). I'll be talking to Pauline at the Banat El-Raqs hafla next week and will see what we can work out.
